UCSL

United Cue Sports League

Community-owned pool league

A traveling team 8-ball league that is entirely community-owned and operated. No national dues, no outside governing body, no black-box algorithms. Every dollar stays local, every rule is transparent.

How UCSL Works

Team Format

4 players per match night from a 7-player roster. 4 rounds, 22 total racks — 16 singles and 6 Scotch Doubles covering all 6 pairings.

Ball Count Scoring

Every ball you pocket counts. Both players score each rack. 8-ball earns 2 bonus points. Break & runs and table runs earn +1. No winner-take-all — every rack matters.

Fair Handicaps

Performance-based rolling averages. Individual and team handicaps keep every match night competitive regardless of skill differences.

Season Structure

12-Week Regular Season

One match per team per week at a designated host venue. Ball count scoring with handicap credits. Standings updated in real time.

3 Seasons Per Year

Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons. Top 2 from each season's playoffs qualify for the Year-End Tournament.

Double-Elimination Playoffs

Every team qualifies. Full UCSL format — same 4 rounds, 22 racks, handicap credits. You're not out until you lose twice.

CSI State Championship

The Year-End Tournament champion earns the league's entry into the CSI TRU-Team State Championship. Entry fee covered by the league.

What Makes Us Different

100% Local

No BCA fees. No APA fees. No national organization taking a cut. Every dollar collected stays in the community.

Full Transparency

Prize fund, handicaps, standings, and player averages are all visible in the app at all times. No black boxes.

Digital Scoring

No paper scoresheets. Ball counts entered in real time through the app. Stats update instantly. Both captains confirm.

Every Team Gets Paid

Season points convert to dollars. Every team earns from the prize fund based on their performance — not just the top 3.

Competitive Balance

Team Fargo Score caps prevent powerhouse stacking. Rolling average handicaps keep match nights close. Every team has a shot.

Player Development

Track your average, run outs, and Fargo rating season over season. See exactly where you stand and how you're improving.
